CFU is a formal distribution partner for Novonesis in South Africa. Following the announcement of their planned merger, Danish enzyme and culture suppliers Novozymes and CHR Hansen officially combined forces on 29 January 2024 under a new company name, Novonesis. Novonesis is a globally recognised leader in biosolutions, with over a century of experience from CHR Hansen and the Novo Group, and a dedicated team of 10 000 individuals committed to driving change.

CFU offers cutting-edge innovation, technical expertise, and advanced dairy knowledge to its clients both locally and internationally. As a strategic partner of Novonesis, CFU is a customer-focussed company, supported by more than 20 years of experience in dairy technology, as well as regulatory and consulting affairs in the South African dairy industry. The company is dedicated to providing high-quality service and reliable product supply, fostering strong trust and loyalty among its partners. While CFU specialises in dairy cultures and enzymes, it also supplies Novonesis meat and plant-based cultures to the South African food industry in both small and large quantities.

Our sales office, storage facilities, and online operations are centralised in Rynfield, Benoni, in the East Rand, from where products are managed and shipped to our customers. CFU is strategically positioned to serve all South African provinces and is conveniently located less than 40 minutes from the main Novonesis warehouse and OR Tambo International Airport.
